No, you are welcome to place an order without registering for an account. Should you wish to create a customer account, we will store your order history, contact information, as well as your shipping and billing address, for ease of use on future orders. Your credit card number is never stored - even if you have registered for an account. We’ll give you the option to create a free account upon reaching checkout, but doing so is completely up to you.

We are located in Williamsburg, Virginia and are required by law to collect state and local taxes for orders shipped within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Orders shipped to all other US states and territories are exempt from sales tax.
Your shopping cart will only allow you to add the maximum quantity of items that we currently have in stock. We intentionally put this stop-gap in place to avoid the disappointment of inadvertently purchasing out-of-stock/back-ordered items. Please contact us if you would like to place an order for a quantity that is greater than the amount we currently have on hand.
You will receive an order confirmation by email immediately after placing your order. This order confirmation will provide you with the complete details of your purchase. Orders shipped via USPS first-class service typically arrive to most US destinations within 3-7 business days (Monday - Saturday) while UPS Ground typically arrives to most US destinations within 2-5 business days (Monday - Friday).

Yes, we offer flat-rate USPS International First Class Mail ($24.95 USD*) and USPS International Priority Mail ($35.95 USD*) shipping services to Canada. We also offer USPS International Priority Mail ($49.95 USD*) shipping services to Australia and the United Kingdom. All international shipments are tracked and insured.
For all other international destinations, please contact us with your full shipping address and let us know which item(s) you wish to purchase so that we may provide you with an international shipping quote and further information on how to place an order.
International shipments are generally delivered within 10-17 days depending upon your delivery destination and your current local customs processing time. Please note that this delivery time-frame is simply a guideline and international delivery times are not guaranteed. We have no control over your country's customs officials, so please understand the risk of delay.
International orders must be shipped directly to a residential address. All orders which provide a shipping address that we have identified as a commercial freight forwarding company will be cancelled.

Certainly! We will email the tracking details for your shipment as soon as your order has been fulfilled. To track your order, simply use the link provided in your order confirmation email to directly visit the shipping carrier's site for updated tracking information.
We welcome you to reach out to us if you have not yet received your package. We will confirm the shipping address submitted with the order, email an electronic copy of your shipping label, and provide you with a description of the packaging.
If the USPS tracking data shows that an item has been delivered, but the recipient is unable to locate the item, the local post-office is the best resource in helping to locate the package. Your postmaster will be able to gather the GPS data from the delivery scan and speak with the carrier to determine the exact location where the package was delivered.
If these methods have not proven successful in locating your package, we will open an investigation with the national USPS customer service center on your behalf.
All packages are insured against loss or damage, however, our insurance will not cover the cost of a replacement if the USPS/UPS tracking information has marked a shipment as delivered. Although we will not be able to replace the package, please know that we will do all that we can to assist you.
Studio pick-up is available by appointment only. Should you wish to pick up your order from our studio location in Williamsburg, Virginia, simply enter PICKUP108HIGHLAND in the gift code box at checkout to remove any shipping charges. We will prepare your order and contact you as soon as your items are available for local pickup.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Gift purchases made during the month of November will be granted an extended return window through January 1st to accommodate the Christmas season.

Yes, once we receive your return request, we will promptly prepare and email a complimentary USPS pre-paid return shipping label.
You will simply need to print out the return shipping label, attach it securely to your package, and leave the package in your home mailbox for your USPS postal carrier to pick up during their regular route. There is no need to stand in line at the post office :)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to let you know that we have received your package and processed the return. Returns are typically processed the same day as they are received.

All of our silver jewelry is made of solid .925 sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. While skin discoloration is uncommon, some people may experience a chemical reaction to copper alloys. This can occur when copper alloys come in contact with moisture such as perspiration, water, and humidity or certain acids found in lotions, household cleaning products, and perfumes.
This reaction is harmless and will subside. Should you notice discoloration, we recommend that you clean the jewelry item with warm water and a drop of mild dish detergent, and then polish the piece with a silver jewelry cleaning cloth.

Clothed with Truth is a true mom & pop. Rhett & Deborah wear lots of hats around here. Rhett completes all of our engraving and pretty much handles any tool with a plug. He received his doctorate in nuclear particle physics, so he approaches most tasks scientifically. He is the practical, patient, and analytical brain of our team who steadies the ship. Deborah, on the other hand, is the free-spirited dreamer who is continually running full steam ahead with wild abandon. She is the one who envisions and creates new "experiments" for the team. Clothed with Truth was established in November of 2014. We previously owned a local coffee roastery & cafe here in Williamsburg from 1999 - 2006. We sold the shop when our oldest began kindergarten and spent the next years teaching in the local public schools. As our children grew older we were able to get back to business and Clothed with Truth came to life.
In short...we walk and talk quite a bit. It's not glamorous, but we love sharing that time together nonetheless. We are often out with our 8 year old golden retriever, Chase, who loves to stop and say hello to the neighbors at each and every opportunity. Recently, we've been spending our Sunday afternoons exploring the quaint historic district of Colonial Williamsburg. We also enjoy binge watching The Great British Baking Show...and trying out a few recipes along the way - some successfully, and some not so much!

Here's Deborah's...
1. Deborah raised an abandoned baby squirrel that she named Charlton, as in Charlton Heston. Her lifetime of pets includes cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, fire-bellied toads, hermit crabs, a green iguana and a spotted leopard gecko. She married a man who never had a pet.
2. One of Deborah's favorite games is family push-up competitions shamelessly complete with individualized hype songs. In the early days she could do 48 push-ups in a row. Presently, she's lucky to reach 20, okay 10...on a good day.
3. Deborah has mad organizing skills, but is slightly OCD. She calls it CDO...so it is in alphabetical order. She has finally decided that Southern Living has no plans to show up at any moment. With this new found freedom she no longer makes the bed each morning.

Saskatchewan, was aided by living in Vancouver, BC during his post-doc years. The upcoming birth of our youngest was announced to our family by Pat Sajak during Rhett's contestant introduction. Bonus: Rhett's family immigrated to the US from Taiwan when he was 6 years old. He learned English watching the show during those first years in the US :)
3. TRUE - Rhett worked as a forest ranger in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during the summer between his sophomore and junior years at Dartmouth college. During this time, his fellow forest rangers taught him how to knit. He is indeed a man of rare & hidden talents! He knitted Deborah a sweater a few years later & it remains one of her most treasured gifts to this day.
1. TRUE - Charleton was found on the streets of Long Island, NY when Deborah was a teenager. Furless and pink, eyes unopened, looking a bit alien in nature...it was love at first sight. She fed him canned kitten milk with an eye-dropper and a kitten bottle until he grew into proper a full fledged rambunctious grey squirrel. Yes, Rhett has adjusted nicely to furry, feathery, scaly, shelled, and somewhat slime laden friends. God bless him!
2. TRUE - As a young girl, Deborah sat on her father's back to help him out with weighted push-ups. Rocky was his favorite movie during those years. Together, they burned through the VHS tape. She listened to the soundtrack on cassette on her way to school every morning. Deborah's hype song?...You guessed it, "Eye of the Tiger". Bonus: Our Golden Retriever, Apollo, was named after "The King of Sting", "The Count of Monte Fisto", "The Master of Disaster", the one and only...APOLLOOO CREEEED.
3. FALSE - While Deborah is recovering nicely from a lifelong case of CDO, she still makes the bed first thing every morning. Sometimes, she puts the pillows out of order just to prove that she can ;) That's what she calls living life on the edge!
